Links for Homework (week 4)

Here are the links to the files that you will need for this week's homework:

The homework assignment is for you to set some type on top of an
already typeset page. You have two options to do this. Either in Adobe Illustrator, or in Quark Xpress. For Illustrator, simply open the provided .ai file and start putting type down on the page. You can even use the "Lorem Ipsum" text to do this. For Quark, you will need to make a blank page, create a picture box, and then place the provided .tif file into the picture box. Then, make a text box and start setting your type. (again, you can use the "Lorem Ipsum" text to do this.)
The second assignment is for you to practice using the Bezier tool (aka: Pen tool.) The tool is the same in both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, so either application will work. To work in Illustrator, use the .ai file. To work in Photoshop, use the .tif file. Simply open the file of your choice, choose the pen tool, and start to trace the puzzle pieces. There are some links to the right (on this page) that have other tutorials as well.
